Dear Readers,
We hope you’re doing well. June has been a month of growth, innovation, and steady progress at Gurzu. In this edition, we’re excited to share some of our recent achievements, key updates, and insights from across the team.
Let’s dive in!
Knowledge Ketchup Session
For those new to it, Knowledge Ketchup is our flavorful twist on the classic ‘lunch and learn’. Every two weeks, a Gurzu team member takes the stage to share something that they know with the rest of the team.
Here are the sessions we had this month:
Test-Driven Development(TDD) : Practices in the Age of AI and Modern Software Engineering: Jun 10, 2026
As part of our this month’s Knowledge Ketchup session, Shreaya presented “Test-Driven Development (TDD): Practices in the Age of AI and Modern Software Engineering.”
The session explored how TDD continues to be a valuable development approach, helping teams build reliable, maintainable, and high-quality software while embracing the opportunities and challenges of AI-assisted development. It sparked thoughtful discussions on balancing modern AI tools with proven engineering best practices. Find the slide deck here.
Quantization in Large Language Models: Jun 24, 2026
Another Knowledge Ketchup session featured Pujan, who presented an insightful talk on how modern AI models are made smaller and faster through quantization.
The session explained how reducing the number of bits used to store model parameters enables AI models to run efficiently on everyday hardware, making advanced AI more accessible beyond large-scale data centers. It offered a practical look at one of the key techniques driving faster, more efficient AI deployment. Explore the full slide deck presentation here.
Gurzu Events
Celebrating Asar 15 with Dahi Chiura
At Gurzu, we celebrated Asar 15, a cherished Nepali tradition, by coming together to enjoy dahi chiura.

The celebration gave everyone a chance to take a break, connect with colleagues, and embrace a cultural tradition that marks the start of the rice planting season. Moments like these strengthen our workplace culture and remind us of the value of celebrating together.
Gurzu Blog
At Gurzu, we love sharing ideas and learning out loud. Our blog dives into practical development strategies, lessons from real-world projects, and insights on emerging technologies.
Whether you’re building products, leading teams, or just curious about tech, there’s something here for you. Check out some of our latest posts and discoveries!
QA as a Service: The Shift from Traditional Testing to Quality Engineering
Modern software demands continuous quality, not just testing at the end of development. In this blog, we explore how QA as a Service (QAaaS) transforms traditional QA into a proactive quality engineering approach by integrating testing throughout the software lifecycle.
Learn how Gurzu combines automation, domain expertise, and continuous validation to help teams release faster, reduce risks, and build more reliable software.
Mixture of Experts: The Architecture Behind Today’s Biggest AI Models
Modern AI models are becoming larger and more capable without proportionally increasing computing costs, thanks to Mixture of Experts (MoE).
This blog explains how MoE selectively activates only the most relevant parts of a model for each task, enabling faster, more efficient, and highly scalable AI. Discover why this architecture powers many of today’s leading AI models and is shaping the future of intelligent systems.
Magic of Wormhole: Secure Peer-to-Peer File Transfer Guide
Sharing files securely doesn’t have to rely on cloud storage or complex setup. This blog explores how Magic Wormhole enables fast, end-to-end encrypted peer-to-peer file transfers using cryptographic handshakes and direct connections.
Learn how its privacy-first design keeps your data secure while making file sharing simple, reliable, and effortless.
Architecting Resilient Rails Applications for Maximum Uptime
Reliable software isn’t just built with great code, it’s delivered through disciplined deployment practices.
This blog explores Architecting Resilient Rails Applications for Maximum Uptime, highlighting strategies such as automated checks, staged rollouts, proactive monitoring, and rollback planning to help teams minimize downtime, reduce deployment risks, and keep business-critical applications running smoothly.
