Reveiled

Discover how Gurzu delivered a world-class e-commerce marketplace for Reveiled, an Australian client. Learn how our expertise in ecommerce development helped achieve their business goals.

Reveiled is a peer-to-peer marketplace especially designed for brides and other people involved in the wedding industry to buy, sell and ship their pre-owned wedding dresses, shoes and accessories.

Problem Statement

The bridal fashion market is as wasteful as it is glamorous. The dress you wear on your special day will most likely be never worn again which not only burns a hole in your pocket but also leaves a massive carbon footprint. The client saw this as an opportunity to promote sustainable fashion by promoting the idea of a circular economy. They required a reliable technical team to architect and build an end to end scalable product that aligns with their vision.

Solution

When Andie approached Gurzu with the concept for Reveiled, the partnership began with a 30-minute discovery call to align on vision, expectations, and compatibility. After establishing a strong mutual fit and signing an NDA, the project officially kicked off.

Discovery & Planning

During the discovery phase, Gurzu collaborated closely with the client to define key features, user flows, and screen requirements. This allowed the team to provide an accurate time and cost estimate. Early wireframes were also developed for the application’s core pages, helping to shape the product’s structure from the outset.

Design & Prototyping

Reveiled, a feature-rich application with over 24 unique screens, required a focused and methodical design process. Gurzu’s design team delivered:

  • Full wireframes for every screen
  • A complete sitemap
  • High-fidelity graphical interface designs
  • Color mockups and interactive prototypes

The resulting prototype provided a near real-app experience — enabling stakeholders to visualize the product long before development began.

System Architecture

With designs approved, Gurzu engineered the application’s system architecture. The platform was broken down into modular components, each with clearly defined responsibilities, and mapped out using UML diagrams to ensure scalability and clarity.

Development & Testing

Gurzu’s eight-member development team — consisting of a project manager, product designer, infrastructure engineer, QA engineer, and four developers — began coding once the foundation was solid. The stack included:

  • Backend: Ruby on Rails
  • Frontend: JavaScript frameworks
  • Hosting: AWS

After internal beta testing at Gurzu (where the entire team stress-tested every feature), the app underwent external testing in Australia. General users found Reveiled intuitive and easy to navigate, confirming the success of the user-centric design approach.
